Above expectations!
We had such a nice stay at the Nesbitt Castle! We love it all! The great service, friendly staff, amazing decoration in all the rooms (our bedroom, the different lounges,..), good restaurant and a beautiful garden. This is a very unique place in Bulawayo, even in the whole of Zimbabwe! We will definitely go back and bring some family as well.

Classic elegance
This is a stunning hotel, originally a house, but designed like a castle, with terrific service. Hotel may not be for some, because it is not a modern hotel, but is an example of a bygone era with large opulent rooms. The design, comfort and service makes up for it feeling a little bit old-fashioned.

Unique Experience!
We stayed here last week-end. We loved the grounds, old castle feel. The food was way above expectations, we had not planned on eating all our meals at the hotel but found the price and quality far above what we could have received elsewhere. The staff of wonderful! Our room was nice and clean but only had a tub, no shower. The mattress was old and we found it hard to sleep with two in the bed as we kept rolling into each other.

Downton Abbey experience in Bulawayo
Excellent experience in this century old castle, run by the Nesbitt family. Very friendly staff and service, great food and room amenities; attention to every detail provided. I had a great time albeit for a day only. (The only downside is its a bit hard to find if you're driving around as a foreigner, but most folks won't have that handicap)

Nesbitt Castle Christmas
We were the only people booked into Nesbitt Castle over Christmas and it was quite lovely. The room was clean, comfortable and en suite with an old fashioned bathtub, which I liked even though it was a bit impractical. The room was serviced daily, and any query we had was dealt with by the staff swiftly. The food was fairly average, not amazing, not terrible. The bar was severely under stocked, and no mixers were available for drinks, which I found a bit odd. Overall, even though the service was somewhat lacking in skill, this was made up for in enthusiasm, as everyone was super friendly. It was an experience, and pretty cool to stay in the castle but for the price it would not be something I would repeat. This place mainly gets used as a wedding venue (it really is beautiful), rather than as a high quality hotel. Still had a good time

First class old world charm
A delightfully different hotel experience! The staff were wonderful and the food superb. The attached restaurant, The Coach House, has been recently rated as Zimbabwe's best and our steaķ dinners backed up the honor.
