Not a 5 Star Hotel

Disappointed
While I thought the room was clean, I was disappointed by the hotel’s 5 star rating but lack of 5 star experience. Concierge was unavailable at 10am. The room was hot and the temperature could not be cooled only heat is available this time of year. Out of at least four elevators I had to wait far too long to go up and down.

Great location, the lounge and food and beverage is nice but....this hotel is being renovated so it was loud at night, the windows covered in scaffolding, the blower sounded like a lawnmower and the moody lighting in the room was no good for me. Disappointed!

Best hotel I have ever stayed in in New York city!
This is a fantastic hotel! The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and the cocktails and appetizers in the evening were fantastic! I will definitely return!!

We came to NYC to celebrate my husband’s birthday. While we have stayed in NY hotels previously, this was our first time at West House- it won’t be our last. All the staff we came in contact with were courteous and professional. The food at the happy hour and breakfast was varied and excellent, as was the service. The king size room was comfortable and roomy. We were very pleased and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
