Stayed here February 2023 with my husband. Food was great! Service was great! This location is more quiet than the Reggae location, which my husband and I appreciated. If we wanted to party we walked over to the other locations. Only disappointment, drinks were bottom shelf. But that didn't stop us from having a GREAT time and won't stop us from booking again. We received fantastic service from Abraham, Cornell, Miss. Sharon, Alex, Kriss, Dan, "Rihanna", and Dr. FunFun. Will be booking again next year.

TLDR: Riu Palace gave me food poisoning, didn't make any effort to help, gouged me for the medicine I needed, then made fun of me for it. I came down with food poisoning from eating the food at this resort. I hadn't eaten anything from off-site from the moment we set foot on the property so I know it was from something I ate here. Upon becoming sick I called to the front desk to ask if they would be able to send up some medicine like Pepto bismol for my symptoms. They told me I would need to see the nurse to be able to get Pepto bismol and any other items to help my symptoms, however the nurse is in the property next door (Riu Reggae) so there was no way I would be able to make it there in the condition that I was in, and there would be a fee that I would need to pay to see the nurse (which nobody could tell me how much the fee was). Since I was not able to go to the nurse myself, I was able to speak with her on the phone. She told me that she would only be able to give me electrolyte salts (which I already had) and Pepto bismol, but I'd still need to come to her and complete a form outlining everything I ate in the prior 3 days and pay the fee. Luckily my wife checked the gift shop and they had some Pepto(although they charged $20 USD for a 6 oz. bottle). I was in the room for an entire day due to the food poisoning and after that I was only able to eat bread and drink water for the rest of my stay, which numerous staff members took the opportunity to make fun of me for.

Overall a good resort. However the buffet food was very repetitive and not very good. Considering it’s almost impossible to get a spot at that restaurants you are forced to eat at the buffet. The entertainment team was amazing as well as the pool wait staff. The servers in the buffet area were extremely rude at dinner and acted like we were bothering them ordering drinks. Drinks were weak but if you tip you can always ask for extra shots. Loved the amenities and being able to use the other resorts especially at night
