Very hot in summer
Clean apartments, all cooking equipment in your room. No washing machine in apartment, need to pay extra. Needs ceiling fans when in summer!! No air con can make it uncomfortable.

Disappointed
Unit was very tired and old fashioned, there was mouse/cockroach droppings on my bed, the cleaners made the beds but didn't clean the bathroom, kitchen or vacuum. Paid a lot of money to stay here, was disappointed but paid in advance so couldn't change. Will try somewhere else next time.

close to main shopping area and restaurants
Norfolk Island is like going back in time, steeped in history and full of very friendly people. Unless your accommodation is close to the main street you will need a rental car. A rental car is the only way to see the island under your own steam. The tours are very good even though quite expensive. Quite cool weather in July so suggest September to March would be better. Must visit Cyclarama and the Norfolk Folk Museum opposite the school. Convict settlement tour is very good
