Comfortable in Como
My room at the Avenue Hotel was tiny but spotless. The hotel's location inside the old city was excellent. The young women staffing the front desk were courteous and professional. The only two drawbacks were: 1) the hotel doesn't have a lobby, meaning that if you want to spend time on the premises but not in your tiny room, you needed to sit in a back corner behind the sushi restaurant and 2) while breakfast was very good, the pound cake was consistently stale.

No place I'd rather be
Love everything about Avenue! the location, the staff, the room...and dinner at the restaurant onsite. Walk from train station was a little long but manageable. Once there tho, everything was near...the eateries, shops, supermarket, ferry, bus. Excellent wifi, in-room kettle for the late night cuppa and no trouble storing luggage there. Sweet, patient and helpful staff...all of them. Thank you!
