Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites East Peoria

Check in was fine, front desk gals very friendly. HOwever, despite the signs everywhere promising how clean the hotel was and in compliance with the elimination of all germs, the place was not clean at all. The inside of the elevator was filthy. The walls actually had evidence of liquids being spilled and not wiped down. The main hallway to the room had not been vacuumed in weeks or so it appeared. I actually saw a wad of gum in the corner. Carpet and office chair in the room showed evidence of spillage and stains. However they went to great pains to wrap everything touchable in plastic. I guess with the lost revenue from the shut down, they have let the cleaning staff go. Very disappointing from Holiday Inn.

Omg ! The hallways and my room smelled like rotten eggs. The tub was not clean and someone left a sock behind from the last stay.... no one bothered to get it out the middle of the floor

Check in went fairly smoothly. The employee was not very personable and with the mask and partition, you can’t even understand her. Room was quiet, clean, and well laid out. Didn’t use the gym or pool. BUT did dine at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse, which is connected. Wow! Amazing service, drinks, and every part of the meal was to die for! We will return. Also, it’s hard to find a hotel with a good shower. Usually, no pressure or the water doesn’t get too hot. This is the BEST showerhead ever, water gets hot and shower is very spacious. Only bad thing about our room was the pillow, they are terrible. Way too soft and fluffy!

Not realizing that what we would receive as a breakfast we did end up paying the extra for it - Don’t BOTHER! My money could have been spent elsewhere and had a much better outcome! Granola bars, OJ apple - not worth the extra$$$ spent! Room was nice and clean!

Very clean. Bed was a little harder than I prefer otherwise great place.

Paid $155 for one night and ended up in a smelly room. Their solution was a bottle of febreeze. Not recommended.

first the room key didnt work. went back to the desk and found out they gave me the wrong room number. then the key worked and found out later on the AC was broken. too late to switch rooms. mentioned the problem in the morning and the morning desk guy said he'd issue a refund to my account. didnt get the refund

We enjoyed it! Room we booked last minute, that room booked wasn’t ready due to low staff but got a even better deal at same price! With adjoining rooms! Very friendly! Allowed pool open hour longer due to the inconvenience!

Nice and clean hotel, the room was cozy. The restaurant was fantastic! The pool was nice and large, but not monitored. I suspect we had several non-guests crash the pool....as 2 key carded guests let about 20 people into the pool from a side door. The pool was quickly overcrowded and the kids wanted to leave. Overall, the hotel was great and we would recommend it and stay here again!
