Beautiful, hotel located in heart of Downtown Chicago. Room was almost 700 Sqft, everything well put together. Didnt have much intraction with the staff. But check in and checkout process was smooth.

I paid a lot of money for this room to not get a view. Upon arrival, I was informed that they were holding a $100 charge on my credit card just in case something broke and then the first day we had to take a freezing cold shower, our room smelled like weed. Coming from out of state, we didn’t know where to park because there was nothing to inform us where to park, so we had to park our vehicle at the hospital ramp across the street. Overall, if I plan on coming back to Chicago I will not be back at this hotel! Not worth it in my opinion!

Absolutely beautiful hotel close to Michigan Avenue and Northwestern. Nice soaking tub while watching tv in the mirror-😁 plus one of the best showers I’ve ever been in!

Stay improved once I changed rooms
My rating would have been higher but the first room I was in was not completely clean. The floor had food particles and dust balls. There was a bug in the bathroom. The whole room felt like it had been submerged under water and dried out. Not to mention the view was horrendous. I requested to move and was allowed to move the next day. The manager said that all of the rooms are properly cleaned but I could really tell the difference in my new room. It was much improved. Overall this is my second stay and last year this place sparkled. This time it did not. Don't be too eager to stay anywhere during this pandemic, things are just not the same right now.

I wouldnt stay here again
Pros: the bathroom and shower were very nice Cons: air conditioning did not work in our room during our 3 day stay, mentioned it multiple times for them to only "fix it through the computer in the lobby" and not really fix it. The automatic curtains, even though turned off, would malfunction in the middle of the night two nights, super loudly opening and closing and waking us both up. Our last night the tv had no signal. Finally, the pillows literally smelled like farts. We felt so uncomfortable by the smell. Theres a billion hotels in chicago and i have no idea how the reviews are so high. Go somewhere else.

Beautiful Rooms Not So Good Service
The hotel room was beautiful, the lobby isn’t as beautiful as the rooms. I wasn’t please with the customer service in my opinion the staff was ghetto and unprofessional. The rooms are extremely nice.

A 3 Star "M"otel at Best
Not a 4 Star Hotel in any way. Maybe a 4 star "M"otel at best. Nothing about this place is botique or luxury in anyway. I feel ripped off honestly. The service would have been fine if I was checking into a Motel 6, but this was supposed to be a "Luxury" hotel. A simple "hello, welcome to the Ivy" would have be a great way to start from the person at front desk (who was dressed in black on black worn out cheap button up shirt and black pants- would expect a somewhat stylish person to act as ambassador to a so called luxury experience) My wife and I were greated with a dull, borderline unintelligible "Give me your card so I can check you in." Really, just a real dissapointment a soon as we walked in the door. 1. No music playing in lobby instead one loud tv with commercial blaring. 2. Gross, watered down sanitizer station. ( big pump that released a mostly watery mix of what I guess was sanitizer. Also is leaked a very liquidy mess all over the place everytime it was pumped) 3. Front desk person was not wearing a mask. ( just seems weird when the website goes above and beyond to imply that their staff are all about keeping guests safe - the point person is not doing anything whatsoever to show any concern about safety) 4. Rooftop looked like a rickedy sportsbar that was jut not well matained at all. Spent all of 2 minutes there be we realized this place is a rip off dump. 5. All the fixtures in rooms are about 10 years old. Bottomline: If you want luxury, look elsewhere.
