The staff and buffet breakfast were great and the surroundings are beautiful. The evening turn-down service was unexpected and a real treat. However, the maintenance could be better - for example, there were stains on the upholstery in our room and the basin had been installed the wrong way round. The shower was rather cramped and difficult to get the temperature right. The lighting in the bathroom was too low - bathrooms don't need mood lighting. The room was lovely and spacious, but only had one easy chair. Despite the pillow menu they offer, I couldn't find a comfortable pillow. They also don't ask for feedback or provide an easy way of reporting maintenance issues. Still, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely be happy to stay there again.
