The staff was really nice, and breakfast was great: great amount of options. However the room wasn't really clean, the floor had black stains of dirt, the curtains were dirty. Bathroom was ok though but it didn't have enough lights, it was quite dark. We didn't sleep well because the room was located next to the staircase, and even though we were on the top floor you could hear noise from the reception downstairs and of course people using the stairs. Also, on the first night we had a blanket on top of the duvet, which was fine, but we don't know why when we came back the next day it had disappeared. The hotel is definitely not a 4 stars.

Good location
This hotel could be so much better than it is with the management paying some attention to detail and improving their customer service. The room was very clean and of a decent size; the location excellent in the Art Nouveau district, with some good spas, restaurants, cafes and museums in the vicinity and the bus / trolley bus stop just around the corner if you wanted to go to the Old Town, railway station or airport. However it was the detail that let the establishment down - the lift door handle was broken with a sharp edge exposed, the list of free TV channels on offer resembled very little of what was actually there, the WiFi worked only intermittently and when I went to ask for new batteries for the TV remote control the receptionist suggested that the reason for the remote not working might be with me not knowing how to use it. Overall the service was very reluctant and definitely not delivered with a smile. It was a shame as I saw some excellent and enthusiastic practice elsewhere.

I arrived very late at night and the staff was very accommodating. Most restaurants were closed so the front desk helped me order a pizza for delivery. The layout of the hotel is a bit confusing with multiple buildings but this adds to the charm in my opinion. I purchased the breakfast package and the spread in the morning was quite nice. My experience definitely warrants a recommendation.
