Perfect feeling.
It's amazing feeling of stay in this lovely hotel for 9 nights. Perfect location, opposite to the shopping mall and subway station. I will book again if travel to Beijing again.

This is a really nice typical good quality Chinese hotel. The room and ensuite was clean, the WIFI was fast and reliable and the air con worked perfectly. The beds are hard (typically Chinese), personally I don't mind that. The Auntie was very helpful and changed bedsheets and towels at any time when asked. None of the staff spoke any English, but I managed ok with basic Mandarin and all the staff were very helpful. The decor is very quirky, not to everyones taste. The location is excellent, Indigo centre across the road with many shops and restaurants, Jiangtai subway station 2 mins walk, bus stop right outside for buses to Wangjing/Sanlitun etc... and 798 within walking distance. Convenient to the airport as well (40mins, less than 100RMB in a taxi). I was on 4th floor with a window room, but it was very quiet at night and I slept well. It says on Expedia to pay 200RMB a night deposit, but I was only asked for 200RMB in total for 9 nights which I got back with no problems when I checked out. Clean, good facilities, nice rooms, convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced. I will definitely stay here again

Room stank of mould and dirty pipes from the bathroom, AC didn’t work was insanely hot, towels and sheets were dirty , table was covered in massage oil as was every other surface , two single beds for a 2 adult book stay , security guards were dodgy and gawking whenever I was outside , Day time front desk staff were rude and pulling faces , not a good experience at all

Smokers can smoke in rooms, which makes it a very unpleasant experience since there is permanently an horrible smell. The mattress is hard, the shower is not very nice. Never again, despite the nice decoration

Manage your expectations is the key
Reviewing the Beijing hotel at Jiang tai road. First of all, you need to understand this is a hotel catered 99% to local Chinese customers. So you need to manage your expectations - this is a 2 star hotel and everyone smokes in the hotel. No one enforces the non smoking rule. You can smoke anywhere and everywhere. The receptionist at the hotel counter cant speak any English - so again, you need to manage your expectations. If you can speak some basic Chinese then you should be ok. If you can accept this, then its really quite a decent hotel and very fairly priced. It’s right opp a huge shopping mall and the subway. So its really convenient if you need to travel to many places. Behind the hotel is a stretch of Chinese restaurants - selling steamboat, BBQ and other Chinese cuisines. Worth a try. About the room - its very basic but well kept. Toothbrush kit and other amenities are provided and there is a kettle in the room. There are different themes in each of the room - love, wizard of the oz and a lot more... i stayed in the comedy room - which essentially is just a giant Charlie Chaplin poster... not a good idea to wake up and have that sinister looking Charlie staring at you. Paid about 580 SGD for 7 nights with the discount coupon. Overall, not a bad deal.

Frontdesk could not find my Expedia fully paid reservation. Made me wait 2 hours and later said they could reserve my room and but I had to pay.1400Y which could be sorted out later. That hasd to be in cash only. Next day they found my reservation and promised to refund me on checkout. On checkout they struggled and said they refunded me. It was nothing but a void preauth .
