This hotel is so deceiving online. They don’t even have ac in the rooms. You have to keep asking the front desk to turn it on then it is only for the hallway. The room was literally so dark you couldn’t see to do makeup or anything. It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in this part of LA for the price. They simply added a couple cute decor things to an obviously very old hotel and called it done.

Boutique doesn't always mean boutique
Some hard to take quirks to this hotel: a loud trash pickup every morning between 4-5:30am right outside the windows of one row of rooms, no coffee maker in rooms, dark room with really poor lighting, walls are very thin (can hear normal volume conversations in the room next to me), forgot toothbrush and front desk has no toiletry reserves, no temperature control in rooms (have to request through front desk). Cleaning crews start loudly around 7am. Otherwise it is funky and unique, but not my cup of tea.

Location Location Location
The hotel is in an amazing location! The hotel itself could use some upgrades, but overall it’s a good bang for your buck in west hollywood.

Great Stay
Great location with a funky vibe. Room was clean with comfortable beds and was quiet considering the location. The associated restaurant was very good as well.

Different Take on Hotel Decor
The rooms were very clean and the decor interesting, although not to my taste. My husband called it hipster, and we are more old hippies with taste. Not to say it was tasteless- just to me a little bit "hunting lodge meets twin peaks" style which made me a bit creeped out. (But the hotel decor was creative, I'll give them that). More importantly, the room was too dimly lit.Everyone was very nice and professional. Not a corporate feel, so that was good. Too many things in the room for sale, though! Don't pack the fridge with items you have to pay for, we might wish to use it for our stuff!!!

Fun funky room decor, but the room was dark and there is no coffee maker in the room. Staff were especially friendly.

Disappointing Stay
Very disappointing experience. While the service was good (not great), I felt the property didn't equate to the $325 nightly rate. The lighting was dark, the carpet in my room had buckled, the bathroom had old fixtures and there was no temperature control in the room. Additionally, the open parking garage underneath the hotel did not feel particularly secure. I also had to walk outside of the garage and around the block to enter the hotel. I can't believe they charged $25 a night for this type of parking. The hotel has a lot of great branding, which is why I decided to try it. The level of execution on site was disappointing in terms of value. They should lower their nightly rates by 30%.
