Walking distance to key attractions
I stayed only for one night. I had a basic large room with an inbuilt bathroom unit - a bit awkward, but at least private. Simple and dated, but this was expected for the price.

Excellent Stay
Very well located, just beside Torre dos Clerigos, a few distance from everything in the Historical City Centre and the Rio Douro. A simple but good breakfast, water, coffee and Port wine available all day long. Employees there are very helpfull and kindness ( thank you so much Sonia!). We certainly stay there next time.

Room alright they didn’t speak English. Like stated. Wanted more money for taxes. Which they overcharged me first time. No fruit in morning or cheese. Constantly looking over you as having breakfast. When I arrived the manager told me that I had to may 6 euros tourist tax. Yes, I knew about tha. Then he aske for 6 euros for what he called ‘shower tax’. I protested and mentioned that in 100s of hotels, I had never heard of such a thing. He backed off. My room was super tiny, but I was able to manage.
