St Georges Hotel is a 'no-frills' hotel that provides basic services and a comfortable stay. I was resident for 3 weeks and have to say that they made me very comfortable and looked after all of my needs. It has a good little restaurant with a varied menu and a nice terrace to sit out on. The hotel is extremely convenient for accessing government ministries and departments - mostly within easy walking distance - and is very secure, having a police car presence every night at the French Consulate immediately opposite. It is also within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and bars with varied menus and some with local brewery beers. I shall certainly return here on my next business trip as, value-for-money it ticks all the boxes.

Affordable 3 stars hotel with friendly staff
St Georges is an inexpensive hotel for the comfort it offers. It is quiet, clean and equiped with what is necessary for a stay in a 3 stars hotel. It has also a restaurant where the guests can eat the dinner which is a plus because evening time many restaurants in that area close very early. The staff is friendly and helpful and they speak both English and French as they do in all Mauritius. They are happy to help guests with all kind of information about Port Louis and transportation to other places, maps, etc.

Good Location in Port Louis
The hotel s showing its age, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is good within walking of the downtown tourist area. Restaurants that were open after 6pm were hard to find in the area around the hotel. I got help from the folks in a little bar down the street from the hotel.
