Beautiful place but.......
Beautiful old building close to the center of bath, great location. While checking in i got the impression that we didnt look the part for this place, very snotty! but after being awake for 36 hours and travelling over 4000 miles i could understand. Our room although nice, was obviously at some point the service quarters, opposite the restaurant. Still we went out to explore bath. We had a great time, we got back to the hotel about 11.30pm after a few drinks with dinner. We were greeted at the door by the bellman/doorman who seemed very angry that we had a drink. Making a comment of " you seem to have had a very good night, maybe too good??. Really!!!!. The bar was above us, the stamping footsteps from above started at 6 am and continued all day and evening with the staircase outside being used by guests and staff continously just as noisy. Woke up on day 2 to a hoover being rammed against the door at 8am. I only spoke to one member of staff that appeared to be english. The rest, english was definitely a second language. Shame as it is a beautiful place.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel close to City Centre
We stayed here recently for a night and were very impressed with this hotel. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome and nothing appeared to be too much effort for the staff. The hotel is 4 houses knocked together and has been beautifully renovated to create a very inviting and comfortable place to stay. A communal lounge is available to all guests with free tea and coffee and a plentiful supply of newspapers and magazines to read. The rear courtyard garden is a great place to relax in the evening enjoying one of the hotel special cocktails or a glass of fizz. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet street with easy access to the city centre 5- 10 min walk based upon ability. On street parking is available for up to 2 hours if you can find a spot. For a fee the hotel will park your car for you outside the controlled parking zone or if you prefer you can do it yourself. Nearest place to park is by the side of Victoria Park, 10 min walk to the hotel. This hotel will definitely be top of our list next time we come back to Bath.
