The owners will need to decide what they want this hotel to be. The partial renovation of this former truly grand hotel does not restore its former greatness at all and feels uninspired. The current green scheme, all the way to the vegetarian restaurant does not really fit the surroundings and seems half hearted. On the positive side: the rooms are spacious, great scenery all around and good restaurants can be found in the area too.

Historisches Hotel in wundervoller Landschaft
Wir verbrachten ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in diesem historischen Hotel. Das Hotel ist eingebettet in die wundervolle Landschaft des Oberengadins. Besonders gefallen hat und die sanft durchgeführte Renovation des Hotels. Alles ist nun sehr freundlich hell geworden. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Die kleine Kochnische war sehr praktisch, um damit den lokalen COVID Lockdown gut überstehen zu können.

Bellissima storica struttura immersa al centro di un enorme parco, a 350 m dal lago di Sils e dal paese di Maloja. Base ideale, senza dover muovere l'auto, per percorrere diversi sentieri: quello che contorna il lago fino a Isola e Sils Maria, quello che sale a Blaunca e Grevasalvas (Heididorf), il sentiero Segantini, quello che porta al lago Bitabergh (sentiero dei contrabbandieri) e al lago Cavloc. Appartamento spazioso e bellissimo con vista sui monti (Margna e Del Forno). Bagno con vasca e doccia. Angolo cucina attrezzato.

Séjour au Maloja Palace
Chambre confortable, dans une dépendance avec une magnifique terrasse. Personnel sympathique et très serviable. Malheureusement la chambre n'était pas chauffée malgré le temps franchement frais. L'eau de la douche n'était pas super chaude. Le petit-déjeuner n'est pas terrible et assez chaotique, nous recommandons de ne pas le prendre à l'hôtel.

Schönes historisches Hotel
Das Maloja Palace ist ein wunderschönes, historisches Hotel. Es waren bei unserem Aufenthalt nur wenige Zimmer besetzt. Unser (Basis)Zimmer war sehr schön: bequemes Bett, sehr schönes Badezimmer, Holzboden und einen Balkon. Die grossen Säle im Erdgeschoss werden im Moment nicht benutzt, sind aber imposant. Gefrühstückt haben wir nicht, vielleicht beim nächsten Mal. Wir würden sofort wieder hier übernachten.

Maloja und Maloja Palace waren toll!!! Erstens: Traumwetter-Weekend! Danke Petrus. Zweitens:Perfekt für 2 old ladies, man trifft dort auf viele aufgestellte junge Leute. Man wird total in Ruhe gelassen mit Essen: man kann buchen, was man will; Morgenessen war spitze. Empfehlenswert. 3. Partyausgang oder Nacht-Silence? Man hat die Wahl! - 2 nette Kellner kennengelernt; der eine megaprofessionell (Gratulation!) der andere: nicht uninteressant, ist eine (amüsante) Geschichte für sich.

Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer ist leider zum Lesen absolut ungenügend. Ich musste eine "Leseecke" im Badzimmer einrichten, wo die Beleuchtung sehr gut war! Auch die Gemeinschaftsräume bieten bei Dunkelheit nicht genug Licht zum Lesen. Sonst hat das Hotel viel Charme und die Stimmung ist ganz speziell. Es ist sehr rubig und wunderschön gelegen.
