View like prison and reluctant to rectify this
We checked in to the hotel early, around 12:30pm. We went to our room to discover the view from the window was a brick wall around 1 meter away from the glass. When I returned to reception to tell them that this wasn’t good enough for £350/night another receptionist told me that floor 2-4 sometimes have this view and especially when requesting 2 single beds. However, I had not been made aware of this at check in. He’s also informed me that it could be requested at check in to not overlook a brick wall. None of this was made aware to me either. Overall, not very helpful. The following morning we proceeded to breakfast and my mother made the restaurant aware of her food allergy. The lady told us that she would prepare separate toast so there was no contamination and bring it to our table. We waited 40 minutes for the toast (asking 3 members of staff in the meantime) by which point my mother had finished her breakfast.
