The bed was superb - probably the best night's sleep we've had in a hotel. It's in a great location for shopping, tourism and good eateries. Only slight negative was, we weren't told about needing £100 refundable deposit (which some people may not have to hand) and expected to produce photo ID, so keep those in mind if you decide to visit. We will be staying again!

Good location and generally served its purpose. The hotel is looking quite tired and dated, and although the room was clean, it felt rather dull. There were also building works taking place directly opposite our window (around 3 metres away), which wasn't ideal. Price a bit high all considered.

This property is in a perfect location for walking or getting transport to all the attractions and things to see in Edinburgh. It is in a lovely, quiet location and also close to bars and restaurants. The bed was really comfortable and the room was very clean. Great staff who were helpful. However, for the money, the room was just a room, so not great value for money as the rate was quite high. There were no breakfast facilities, no fridge in the room or safe which made the room feel very basic. Whilst the room and bathroom were nicely decorated, there were a few basic maintainence items if you looked around.

Perfect distance to everything we wanted to do. A short walk to the Royal Mile, easy access to the airlink route and lots of restaurants and cafes very close! Very quiet and comfortable room with plenty of space. Staff were lovely also.

The location to St Andrews Square is excellent so airport run was direct. Hotels twin room and bathroom (shower and bath);was huge and excellent for amenities. There is a steep incline to get anywhere but it's fine. Reception staff were a delight every time.

Lovely hotel, located 10 min away from the city centre on a lovely quiet street. Situated very closely to the National Portrait Gallery on one side and a fantastic small Scandinavian bakery on the other. The staff was very friendly, the room was very big and clean and the beds were comfortable. There were some occasional noise from the room above (floors were squeaky). Excellent value for money.
