Hotel le Mouton Blanc

Staying on MSM was great and pretty cool. Room was small but what was expected for this booking because of limited space on the island. Signage on the island is terrible. I recommend going to “The Poste/Office of Tourism” which is just after the drawbridge on the left, about 100 yards inside. Here you get a map. Check in was terrible mostly because you can’t find it. We saw several people in the same situation. Destination was awesome once you knew where you were going.

Just staying on the island was just amazing!!! And being able to walk all around at anytime. Also the buffet breakfast was great!

The location is amazing. The room, diffeeenr story, not sure if it was blood or water stains. Wish I could post a picture. It was creepy

On check in I was told that the hotel I had booked was closed during the low season and I would instead be staying at Hotel Mère Poulard. It is a very lovely hotel, the walls are a bit thin though so lots of noise sometimes from other guests and tourists walking around. I stayed 2 nights, and really enjoyed my stay.

Mouton Blanc was closed to construction. We were moved to the sister hotel La Mer Pollard. The service was impeccable. Best breakfast I’ve had at a restaurant.

It was wonderful to stay at le Mouton Blanc. We just had a little inconvenience with the receptionist who left us unattended for half of hour when we tried to do the check in..

Hotel was old, mouldy and run down. Needs a major upgrade. Water stains on carpet. Rooms are extremely small with very narrow staircase. Only one person can go up or down at a time. The only good thing was the location, it was right in the middle of the Abbey. Parking instructions were not accurate and there is a charge of 20 euros to park and then to take the shuttle. Breakfast was not provided even though it was charged. Low season, had to check in at another hotel and get the key.

They were wonderful. I fell down 9 stairs. I broke my wrist and bruised myself all over. No Dr care at Mont Saint Michel. They called an ambulance and off I went 40 miles away. I had to stay in hospital. They did everything to help my husband. They held our luggage until he could get situated in another hotel in the town where the hospital was located. They were very understanding and sympathetic. In the end, all turned out fairly well and we went on with our holiday. We will go back again.

WHAT WE LIKED: Service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The bathroom is clean and relatively spacious with separate toilet. spending the night in MSM and be able to roam in the deserted site at night is priceless and unique experience. WHAT WE DIDN’T LIKE: The room is tiny with almost no room to open suitcases. The bed is too soft and not very comfortable for our taste And their is no sound insulation from other rooms and from the  “street” the good rhinf is the. That you can expect to be waken up by delivery at 5am and go see the sunrise on the MSM.

Very central and convenient location. During the night, very quiet. The parking lot was a bit of nuisance. First, I was given wrong codes by the reception when I called ahead of time. When I arrived, I had to call again and was given entirely different codes, which also didn‘t work. Finally security had to open the lot for me.
