Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo-Kayabacho
Clean hotel, inconspicuous neighborhood with mostly business activity. Train stations nearby (Kayabacho, Nihombashi) give quick access to most spots in Tokyo rather than the Yamanote line which I originally wanted proximity to. Interactions with staff was likely the smoothest of any I conducted during my trip, and I never once noticed them doing cleaning duties, though the room always found itself clean on time.

Stayed at this hotel for the past 6 years!
Just a great place to stay for the money. I come to Tokyo often and for the past 6 years I have stayed at this hotel. The room size is big compared to standard Japanese hotels and the breakfast buffet is much better than others. The location is ideal, being just a 10 minute walk from the Tokyo City Air Terminal to get to and from Narita/Hanita, and only a 5 minute walk from Kayabacho station. From the station you can go to all of the major parts of Tokyo with little to no transfers and very quickly. Dining around the hotel has now been much improved with a GEM building featuring 7 restaurants just a 5 minute walk. There are also a number of ramen, izakaya, soba, and udon restaurants in the same 5 minute circle. If you are dying for western food then there is a Denny's and McDonalds 10 minutes by foot. I tell all of my friends going to Tokyo for the first time to stay here and they all have had an enjoyable experience.
