Poor 2,0
Worst Hotel to stay in NY
Do not stay at this hotel except you would like to be treated poorly despite paying with your hard earned money. Overall, i will rate Dream Midtown Zero to negative stars. 3 hours after checking into my room, i was battling with the thermostat because the room was 77degrees F. hot and i set the thermostat to cool the room to 64 degrees F but it wasn't cooling.  I thought i wasn't doing anything right so i turned it off.  Minutes later i had to turn it back on as the room became 80 degrees F hot!  At this point i called the front desk, the person i spoke to said " we are sorry we do not turn on the AC in the winter" . Imagine that! It's 60 degrees outside in March and behind these concrete walls its hot and I'm roasting.  He then says he'll transfer the call to speak with the Manager.  After a 10minute hold, Lilian the manager gets on the call and says our AC is not working. Funny right?! because 10mins ago your associate said you all don't turn it on in the winter!. Imagine, i had to spent 2 nights in this dingy hot oven. She then says in her exact words-  "you can check out of the hotel".  Wow! Mind you, this was 10:57PM and i came in from out of state and i had book this hotel 1month out for the trip. I wasn't certain i heard her clearly the first time so i asked her to repeat herself and she said it again. I then asked her to confirm her name and her position and with so much pride she reminded me that she is Lilian the Manager. Nothing dreamy anout this place!

Poor 2,0
79 degrees in my room
It was extremely frustrating that the air was broken in the entire building. Our room was 79 degrees and despite our best efforts, would not get any cooler. We ended up switching to a room on a lower floor around 10pm because it was simply unbearable. I had another reservation at this property for April but I will be canceling it and rebooking with another hotel.

Great value and offers everything you need
Our room was a beautiful suite with a private balcony overlooking Times Square. Definitely recommend this room! The hotel is in a great central location. The restaurant is amazing and the hotel has 3 bars/clubs that are well-known and popular with the locals.

Good 6,0
Overpriced and Underwhelming
Like the majority of hotels in NYC, the Dream is overpriced and underwhelming. We chose the Dream because it was conveniently located for our plans that night. I spent a bit more for a room with a king bed only to find out that the Dream’s king beds are “European” king beds - so, basically, queen beds. My suggestion: just go with the queen room and save some cash and you’ll basically get the same bed size.

Comfort at a reasonable price
Clean, modernized hotel with comfortable beds and nice rooms and amenities. Would like a coffee maker in the room, and a fridge instead of a mini-bar, but otherwise a great stay.
