perfect location within easy walking distance to the Tiergarten park and lots of restaurants, kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave was a pleasant surprise also. Staff were very helpful too, breakfast had amazing selection, EUR14 a little pricey maybe but was full after it.

Friendly, good location but no air conditioning
Friendly check in. Rooms are clean with kitchenette and microwave however no utensils. No air conditioning but a fan is provided and windows can open for a breeze but not ideal in a hot summer.

We used hotel lutzow only for 2 nights in Berlin and it was more than ideal for travellers! In very central location yet very private which was perfect for us. Very friendly and helpful staff and super simple check in / check out process!

Worse than basic
Had a 4 night stay here. Was a bit disappointed with the service recieved as we asked for extra pillows (the 1 pillow each given was so flat) and did not recieve any. Another issue we had was on arrival our safe did not work. We asked at the front desk for assistance and we were informed to check the instructions, which we already did and they did not help. The person said someone would come and fix it, but no one did. I was also very disappointed as there was no hairdryer in the room. If you're epileptic I wouldn't stay here either as the light constantly flickered once turned on in the bathroom. If you're looking for a fridge in your room as well, this probably isn't the hotel for you (however this was in the description when booking). The vibe of this hotel is like a hostel, as we had bunk beds and there was hardly any furnishings. The walls could have done with a repaint as there were grubby marks. However, the beds were super comfortable. Also, the rooms aren't sound proofed at all so I reccomend using ear plugs. There is no climate control so I wouldn't recommend staying here when it's very warm. Location wise it's very good and some staff were very friendly. They were very helpful with luggage storage and allowed us to store our luggage after we checked out. Overall, it's a very cheaply priced hotel which is great, and what the hotel has to offer reflects this in the price.

The room has a cooking area with a fridge and microwave, which meant we could buy groceries from the local supermarket, and heat up a hot meal at the end of the day. Perfekt! The local Netto was very handy and well stocked. There are two nearby bus routes we found useful the 100 200, and also the S9 took us all the way from BER Flughafen to Zoologischer Garten, where we walked over to the 100 bus stop and caught the bus to the hotel. The staff were very helpful and patient with our queries. The breakfast was comprehensive; it set us up for a long day ahead; the scrambled eggs were buttery and just right for me. The TV was a good size to watch a spot of German TV, without straining my eyes. The bathroom felt spacious and the shower was powerful and did not feel small. We would stay again.
