Good hotel in a non touristy area
I had several stays in different rooms, totaling about a month. The hotel is right on the subway station and the airport line, very convenient. There are nice some very nice restaurants in the area and several supermarkets. The first room I was in was really nice, I enjoyed it, cleaning was good, spacious, good blinds. Second room, though it was same category, was much smaller, I didn't have place to fully open my suitcase. Cleaning wasn't quite as good and I woke up at 5.30 am with the sun... I asked to switch but the request was declined politely. All in all, the service was very polite but after a month one can expect a bit of extra, this did not happen. Polite and impersonal. Also, at times lack of English caused confusions which also were just apologized for but no real refund was offered. I would recommend the place, if you want to be in the area.

Clean, comfortable, and the staff was wonderful. The location is very convenient since there is a metro stop you can access from the basement of the building. There are also lots of cafes, stores, and restaurants right in the building.

Easy connection to Subway. B1 floor has direct access to Gong-Duk Subway Station. There is Lotte Mart at B1 floor also. Very convenient. 24 hr convenience store at 2nd floor. Many bakeries, restaurants & coffee shops around.

A little disappointing experience.
Wifi here is completely unreliable, I missed an important call because the signal was full but I want able to access for to faulty internet. Check in was a very long process and our kids had to stand in line with us because the seating area was full. However, clean and the room itself was nice although a little small and hot (had to call the front desk to find out that the thermometer did not control heating at all).

Perfect stay & location
If you are considering Lotte City Hotel Mapo, book it! The staff was friendly, accommodations clean and comfortable and the location is perfect! The hotel is right above the Gongdeok subway station and is super accessible to major attractions and the airport railroad! Lots of great eating options in walking distance. I will definitely be staying here again!
