Tired rooms and $25 water bottles!
Firstly, the lobby, casino and facilities (restaurants, especially Cabone) are all great, with a special mention to an incredible spa which is well priced for the quality. The hotel is expensive (and table minimums are high) but the rooms REALLY disappointed me this year, thus don't match the luxurious demands/facilities. We've been staying at the Aria for the last 10 years for an annual convention, and I regret to say that next year we will likely reconsider. The rooms are extremely tired, the shower didn't drain (in either of the two rooms we booked for the week), to the point that we had previous guests' toenails floating around. We found dirty laundry in a draw and the sockets on the walls are messy. The in-room tablets were a revolution 10yrs ago, but technology has moved on and these rooms along with the tablets are still stuck in the past. When I politely raised issues at the desk, I was told that someone would look into it, but nothing happened. It didn't totally spoil our stay since we spent most time out of the room, but a revamp is desperately needed (and prices should reflect the room quality in the meantime). Charging $25 for an in-room bottle of water is also an absolute disgrace, both immoral and disrespectful to your paying guests (it was $10 just a few years ago). Hardly surprising that we noticed two of these had been drank and refilled (likely with tap water). PLEASE up your room game Aria, and show your loyal guests some more respect like the old days.
