Marlene who greeted us after a cold long journey to the hotel was so kind and chatty and made us feel right at home. The room we had was also super spacious and clean which was a delight. We both also had a great nights sleep and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning which tasted amazing and set us up for the day. We would definitely stay here again!

2 night stay.
Positives: Lovely small hotel, clean, quiet, very good location, reasonable prices. Negatives: we booked 2 rooms for one family, but they did not put us next to each other, not even in the same floor with no phones in the rooms! In addition, I did not like the tone on reception man.

This is a small basic hotel where you can get a decently priced room to sleep in and use as. Base to go out from. It's not a luxury spacious pace but their premises were spotless, they did exactly what they said on the tin and the receptionist (Diane) was exceptional. I will definitely use this hotel again whilst travelling.

Location is good. But, after an exhausting tour we arrived late one evening and had to fight to get a decent room. The first 2 choices we were offered were unacceptable because the windows could not be opened, or only partially opened (possibly not in compliance with fire standards?) Only after repeatedly expressing our dissatisfaction were we finally offered a decent room. It should be noted that everywhere else we went in Scotland people went out of their way to be accomodatitng and helpful. This was an exception.
