We spent 2 nights. For the first night, when it was 33 degrees Celcius, we got a very small room. the curtain opened, sunlight, the ventilator did not help much, impossible to close one door in the shower. For the second night, we got a bigger room. everything was OK. HOWEVER, THERE IS NO CONDITION IN THE HOTEL AT ALL.

Artistic, beautiful
The public areas in the hotel are decorated like a Morroccan palace. Beautiful tiling & colours, enhanced with art & furnishings. A unique experience. I have visited some great art nouveau houses/museums in Brussels. This is better; they should do tours. It’s a few steps from the Grand Place, on a street filled with restaurants & bars. My room (313) had a view of that street, & I could see part of the tower of Brussels City Hall on the Grand Place. Beautiful. Comfortable mattress too. The rooms are budget hotel style; clean, but could do with a deeper clean. The man at check out was brusque. I was late for breakfast - it ends at 9.30am - & they wouldn’t give it to me, even though they had plenty of croissants left. Then the woman in charge relented & gave me (delicious) coffee, but no food. So it isn’t perfect. But it’s still a beautiful, unique place, which I’d go back to.

Do not stay here!
This hotel is not well kept; there were water stains on the walls and ceiling of our room and broken tiles on the walls. Dark grey, patterened sheets made it seem dirty? The second night we were there a staff member used a key to enter our room in the middle of the night while we were asleep. He demanded to know our reservation dates, name, etc. He finally left, saying he would be back. Clearly, we couldn't sleep after that. Do not stay here!! This place was weird and scary.
