Hotel was a 15-20mins walk but I suggest not to, it’s quite a hassle to drag the luggage over. Our check in timing was 2pm but when we arrived the hotel staff said 3pm because some guests checked out late. She was smoking in the same area which we were waiting while talking to another person. So we waited at the area and after a few minutes, in which she was done smoking, she say the rooms can be checked in. So was she not ready because she was smoking or the rooms were indeed not ready, you decide. Breakfast spread was quite a fair bit which was good.

The hotel is very charming, clean with an attentive staff. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with many local options if you chose to venture outside the property. Train station while in walking distance I suggest a taxi and or the hotel service.
