Its an older property but clean. Communication is a definite issue and they are not easy to get a hold of. All in all, great value.

OK for the money.
The room was large with apartment size fridge and very comfortable beds. The bathroom window would not close all the way and the floor was very creaky. Poor lighting, too bright in the main part of the room and barely any light in the kitchen alcove.

The young lady that runs this hotel is awesome!! She even took the time to come to our room & chatted with us about our dog & made us feel welcomed and at ease. We’re even staying another couple nights. Thanks Tri-States Inn!! We appreciate the friendliness from the staff.

Language barrier however they use translation app. Owners were friendly and prices unbeatable. Hidden Gem waiting to be cultivated

This hotel was a very good value. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the real thing was better than the pictures showed. The staff was friendly and accommodating, my stay was peaceful/restful. The only drawback came when it was time to leave; it was pouring rain, and I had to walk through an inch of water to get to my car.

2/10 Poor

Hot water is room temperature. Heater doesn’t work in room 12( it’s going to get to 34 degrees at night) pretty much stuff everywhere on the property and felt like i was going to fall through the deck when i stepped onto it. Definitely worth driving another 20 miles to a different location. Not staying here again

Basic sleeping room
Older hot being updated and improved. Clean and comfortable with hot shower and towels. Very basic w TV that has no tuner.

2/10 Poor

After night one, my socks and feet bottoms were black. WiFi and TV would not connect. Shower was ridiculous. Might have helped if she could speak even one word of English. Horrible experience.

Do not stay here
They charged me a week before my stay when the booking was set for pay at property. I got a refund but then when i finally did stay they charged me more than the booking was set for and they photocoppied my debit card. Wont be staying here again. Horrible service and sketchy owners.

No frills
We needed a hotel in Dickeyville. There were 2 hotels in town (apparently owned by the same person). It has been updated with newer bedding and paint, and I appreciated the laminate wood floor. However, the bathroom door did not shut all the way. The check in process was very odd. Had to cross the street and check in at other hotel then come back. Worst of all was a certain smell. Not sure if from a/c… but it wasn’t good. It was cheap enough and we were exhausted, so we stayed.
Toni, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Not a good place to stay.
The pictures on Hotels.com are deceiving. This hotel/motel is old. The room was not clean. There were bugs in the window sill. Windows were dirty. The bathroom window did not close. Very little if any water pressure especially the hot water. The bathroom shower walls and floor looked as those it had not been clean. There were nails from the flooring sticking out of the floor. There was also no internet available for the television. I suppose you get what you pay for however, this was beyond normal expectations. I wish I had taken some photos of the condition of the room. If I had some where else to stay, I would have just left and gone elsewhere. I do not recommend staying here ever!

First of all, THIS property is not a public MOTEL. The Wisconsin Wood INN (across the street, different address)is the one that travelers stay in (also listed on Orbitz but a different address) and is in fact where our rooms are. That said, the check in process is very concerning. The person behind the counter (limited English speaking) makes a photo copy of your drivers license and credit card, had you sign the BLANK paper below that copy, then places it in a file folder that sits on the counter for anyone to access. This is despite having provided CC when booking the stay. I will be checking with my CC company to make sure my card has not been used since that day. The room itself was fine for the price. Door knob was cheep. This particular site should NOT be issued on Orbitz.

Everything was fine here. The only thing we found creepy was that none of the staff greeted us. When I contacted the staff, we were informed that our room was open with the keys on the table, which we found unsettling. Other than that, it was satisfactory.
Ramon, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

This property looked like it had been condemned. We didn't stay because it looked unsafe. Doors to rooms were open and windows were boarded up and main office windows were broken. An abandonded vehicle was in the snow-covered parking lot. Refused to stay there. Not as represented online.
