Nothing great just and average experience
The hotel rooms were quite shabby and aged. The facilities need an overhaul. Very basic level of facilities for the price being charged.

Good place to stay on budget !
It was a very basic hotel , met all your basic needs. The room and bathroom is super tiny for two and you can hardly put two luggage in . When you enter you never pass through the reception once you are checked in, take the elevator directly up to your room . If you are on budget , this place serve its purpose . Also it’s about 20-30 mins away from Spanish step and trevis foundation which is much further then what the site describe . WiFi is slow tend to be weak at time.

Very friendly staff - great wifi. Handy location by main train station. Bathroom & showers need a lot of work

Affordable place near to city centre
The hotel itself is really close to Termini Station. The room was clean and sufficiently spacious for 2, the bed was comfortable and sheets/towels were clean. However be prepared for an extremely small bathroom in the corner of the room, especially the shower was really small - you can't even bend forward properly without bumping into the wall or the shower door (which latter was the only uncleansed part, it was a bit mouldy). Except for this the hotel is recommended if you're looking for a place to sleep after the sightseeing.

Won't stay here again
When we arrived, the front door of hotel was locked and we had to keep standing in the cold ringing the intercom for 15 minutes until the front desk staff finally opened the door. After that we had to dragg our luggage up the stairs with no help at all from the person at the front desk. He pretened he doesn't see us (2ladies) struggling with our luggage. He was useless to say the least. Check in was fairly quick. The room floor was very dusty and dirty and the room smelled like paint. Bed was ok but mattress could be updated. There was no hot water at all at night. The balcony view was not great. Our taxi driver advised us that the area is not safe to walk at night. I would NOT stay here again.

Good Value Hotel
I booked 3 rooms for my group. The first floor has the better rooms--beds, showers larger. The 2 rooms on the 3rd floor did not have comfortable beds and we were changed to all on first floor. Problem solved! Safe location, convenient to great coffee shop on corner (turn left out of front door and diagonal across the street). Fabulous coffee and pastries for next to nothing in price! Then directly across the street is excellent and inexpensive restaurant serving variety (not just steaks!) and left of that is a great pub for pub food and excellent pizza. Virginia Hotel is truly a jewel... Giorgio and Jorge so helpful at front desk. They arranged a private transfer from hotel directly to ship's side (driver got in with his pass) for a bargain rate. Couldn't believe the luxury of the vehicle, the service. The hotel is simple, there are no porters.... a walk-up to front desk or left to down steps for elevator is easier. In-room safe and fridge plus location within walking distance of Termini and general safe location of this hotel make it the perfect place to stay, as we did for 5 days while we took our daily tours. So nice to have a little market on the corner across the street plus pharmacy a couple of blocks away and be able to cross the street for the best dinner in the area. We LOVED the Virginia Hotel!!

Good hotel, but bad for allergy sufferers..
I really liked this hotel, it is super convenient near Roma Termini and walking distance from most of the things we wanted to see, and the staff was really friendly and nice. My only complaint is that the room (bed particularly) was very dusty, and due to allergies my partner and i both felt ill all week.

Italian room with accessible location
We had a lot of baggage because we went to Greece and Austria prior to Italy. We weren't able to use the elevator and nobody minded helping us. The room's interior was quite Italian, which we liked. The hotel is also about 10 minutes away from Termini, so we didn't have to walk for long from and to the train station. The hotel room was big enough for us to rest but felt a little small due to the size of the bed. The toilet worked well but the toilet floor flooded, probably because of the leak. The keys were hard to handle and gave us a hard time opening and closing. Also, it wasn't noise proof, so you can hear the doors of other rooms and footsteps in the corridor. Nonetheless, we were able to relax well.
