Hotel is in great proximity to train station- easy to get to and from which was our goal as we took a train from Florence and were flying out of Rome the next day. AC was not great- had to get front desk to reset and wasn’t cool enough for our comfort level- ended up sleeping with windows open which was cool but loud. Toilet did not flush well. Shower pressure was good but grout was dirty. Room overall felt like it had been cleaned but overall showing it’s age and need for deep clean. Was fine for an overnight but not somewhere I would spend a lot of time. For the price, I guess I should have shifted expectations.

1 week at Venetian Palace
It was ok, clean and tidy. Service ok. Room very small and not much in the bathroom due to frosted glass door. Had to shower in the dark as you could be seen through the glass door if the light was on. Didn’t try the breakfast.

Great location, great service, comfy bed.
Great service and clean hotel, not far from main train station (5 min walk). Colosseum was 20 min walk and main station has buses, trains and tube all coming into it so easy to get to other sides of the city. The shower in normal double room was a bit cramped as was in triangular shape but worked fine. Walls can be a bit thin so you can hear people leaving their rooms but nothing out of the ordinary. Wifi worked well for working from hotel room too so no complaints there. We used sauna which was amazing as we let reception know when we wanted to use it and they got it heated up for us. Nice private little sauna hour felt like a treat, no extra charge.
