Really lovely people at check in, really proactive and helpful. The apartment is spacious and I had everything I needed to feel comfortable and safe.
I booked on the Hotels.com website and selected to pay at the hotel, also had a free cancellation. The hotel deducted the full amount from my credit card before the cancellation date despite selecting to pay at the hotel.
The property seems to be very rundown and we woke up in the morning to the fire extinguisher and empty alcohol bottles in the hallway. The rooms are ok but you get the bare minimum of coffee etc and it’s all different brands.
Horrifically filthy will not be returning. Whole set of fake nails on the floor beside the master bed along with used tissues and a large hair clip seen underneath the bed. Food rubbish and empty drink containers had also failed to be noticed by the cleaners in the other two room. $35 to park in an unsecures wilson carpaek arojnd the coner... 😷😖
Ive Stayed here a number of times and over the last 2 years the standard of maintenance has lowered. our room was a two room both with and shower, one shower had the clip broken that holds the shower head so it wasn't usable the other had a loose handle, the washer dryer had a control panel issue and would work then not work, we stayed with our two boys and wanted to use the pull out couch only to find that it was broken and could not be used. the woman on the desk that nite was very nice and great to deal with. Barclay Suites is a great place to stay they just need to up there maintenance program and get the repairs done
We were on the 12th floor but the street noise was bad at night
Great location and friendly staff and lots of space in the rooms. Didn’t have a dryer and said it would so could t wash! Also took a bit of messing about to get my complimentary breakfast. Never ever buy the content owl breakfast for $19, it was okay but worth about $9 at the most, pretty stingy
Great location in Auckland. Construction work in Auckland made it difficult to access. Parking just a short walk away.
If the subway wasn't under construction on the street running in front of the hotel location would be great, 2024 completion date. Also hallways are bare concrete. Breakfest is brought to your room but no info on what do do with the tray. Fro t desk pleasant but i heard them repeatedly say they had no record of prepurchased meal. I had my reservations in my phone so i had it. After being told i did order breakfast .
The road works outside made fun ding the property a challenge, followed by further challenges to park the car after unloading luggage. The suite was great, but the washer dryer, despite having specific instructions, which were followed to the letter. The clothes would not dry, and kept being rewashed. Complete waste of time and precious resources. Also additional charges at the property to park a vehicle. This needs to be advertised up front.
