Natalie at the front counter was amazing, however the hotel was just ok at best. They are very much in the process of remodeling so the place is a mess. There is no parking available at the hotel. It’s an old building so the plumbing is loud, the walls are SUPER thin, the TV didn’t work. AC unit sounded like a train going through the room every time it turned on. And pretty sure the maid stole my wife’s sweater. So it didn’t leave a great taste in my mouth

Had no hot water in the shower. The handle was loose. When I told the girl at front desk. She said there was no one to fix or check on it When I booked this room it said it had 3.5 star rating. Lol. Maybe a 1,start. Also the the bathroom was very cold.

We stayed there a few years ago, and the roof top bar was closed. When we scheduled another stay, after seeing the rooftop bar was "open," we discovered upon checking in that it was "closed for construction." We asked about the bar in the lobby, but it was also closed. The clerk said, "There are at least 20 bars downtown you can go to." Well, not everyone loves crowds. Even thought it was a Tuesday night, the streets, bars, and restaurants were so packed, we were challenged to find seats at bars at all. A nice quiet night cap in the lobby would have provided some relaxation after winding through hoards of people to get some dinner. Also, although a Keurig is provided in each room, it would have been really nice to have coffee in the lobby in the morning, with fresh half and half instead of inadequate supplies of sweetener and powdered "cream" product for the coffee. I complained to the clerk and manager, but they never said a word. By the time I left the facility, having to pay to get Starbucks coffee, it was stone cold by the time I got it back to the room. The made for a grouchy mood for me all morning. This is an important amenity that was lacking at this hotel. Otherwise, even though the hotel is aging and the furniture in the lobby was weirdly out of date, sad and saggy, our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We slept well. The lobby does need to be made more inviting if this hotel is to survive. The cleaning staff was smiling and friendly.

Good stay, love Fort Myers River District. This hotel is right in the center of it. Dinner at Cabo's or Ford's Garage. Ple ty to do.

Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and I had noisey neighbors who were rather amourous. Then awoke at 4am and had a lengthy conversation followed by an alarm that went off every 5 minutes from 6 until 6:45. Last, they set off the fire alarm around 7am. I think I would rather stay at a quieter local.

I inquired about cancelling my reservation with Orbitz on an online chat- saying DO NOT cancel I would just like to inquire about a refund. I was told I would be charged full rate regardless if I cancelled because I missed the cancellation cut off. When I arrived for my stay Orbitz had cancelled my reservation and the check in desk took at least 20 min to check us in. The hotel has renovations going on- zero amenities available, and the lobby looks like a storage facility. It was so loud at check in we couldn’t hear a word the attendant was saying and then she was upset at us because we weren’t talking loud enough. I also booked with Orbitz last weekend at another property and have since noticed they have double charged me- I guess I get to waste my time on that next. No more Orbitz/Expedia for me... and definitely never looking at Hotel Indigo in Ft Myers again!

Nice accommodation right in downtown where you can walk to all the shops, restaurants, and even a cigar bar.
