A hidden gem
Fantastic stay, I would highly recommend this hotel, it’s truly amazing. We have stayed in many five star London hotels, but this is by far our favourite!

A hotel worthy of the name
The staff were so considerate and went out of their way to look after Jack our Terrier. Be aware that afternoon tea starts at 13.00 so sandwiches in the drawing room have to be taken early. I would venture to suggest that the Main Restaurant (GBR) could be divided. Currently it is rather like a smart road-side cafeteria. Not what I expected in such a lovely hotel. I know there is a trend to spartan eating areas so keep some of the area as such but let us have the opportunity of a luxurious dining experience then to be followed by a cosy drink in the lovely bar. It really is a secret hotel

Lacking Service
No room available when we checked in, despite it being check-in time. We were offered a tea tray for our room, but it never appeared. When we returned around 10pm the bar was full and no tables. We were directed to an empty un-inviting lounge with no service, so we gave up waiting and went to our room. All in all, not what we'd expected from a luxury 5-star hotel.
