A Convenient Overnight Stop
We spent our final night in Seychelles at the Wharf while in transit between Bird Island and the airport for an early morning departure. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they had allowed us to leave our excess suitcase at the hotel for the few days we were on Bird Island. It was waiting for us in our room when we checked-in. We didn't eat at the Wharf except for fruit platters that we pre-ordered for breakfast in our room. The only minor niggles were that (1) the tap on the basin was loose and the pop-up plug was missing, (2) neither of the 2 safes in the room worked because they were waiting for some new batteries to arrive from Singapore, and (3) we did not receive the wake-up call we had booked with reception. When we checked out we asked about this and were told that the computer showed that the automated call had been made! It didn't come through to our room, so perhaps someone else was woken up rather earlier than expected. The Wharf is more of a business hotel than a holiday one, but it is conveniently located for both the airport and Victoria so suited our puposes very well.
