The Point Hotel & Suites
Disappointing service, resort fee and no airport s
The hotel was less impressive than it looked in the photos. They only have a pool, wi-fi and a park shuttle so not sure what the resort fee is for-its more of a hotel. The room was nice but furniture was a bit chipped and cheap looking. No USB ports. Transport to and from airport cost us $72 and added expense due to the concierge giving us wrong information when I asked her to book our return airport shuttle. She said it only needed to be done 10 min before so we should come back the next day. The next day they told us it was too late as it had to be booked the day before. Granted -it was a misunderstanding as she said she thought we meant a taxi but made no attempt to help us and was rude and defensive. The hotel manager also passed the buck and said she didn't work for them and wouldn't help us. The night restaurant guy who took our order and offered to take it to our room but later changed is mind when he looked at the tip and told me to wait and take it myself. All in all won't go back.

Very clean
It was very good. I loved that the shuttle to the parks like Universal were included with our stay. The hotel was very clean, and when we walked in the room, I could smell the chemicals from them cleaning the room. And the room was very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly.

Nice place to stay
This place was amazing. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds.... Breakfast was good. Hot and cold food. My only complaint was they only allowed 2 of us the free breakfast when we had 3 of us staying. One of us had to pay $12 for breakfast, and it wasn't worth that.

The hotel itself was better than expected. Very cute decor, nice pool area, polite staff and clean room. We received a nice room overlooking the pool area. The hotel was very convenient to everything. My only complaint was the mattresses probably needs updating, It was not that comfortable. However, I'm used to sleeping on one of the newer hybrid models.

Dirty, disappointing.
Pros: Friendly Staff Good price for accommodations Great pool and bar area Nice lobby Allowed early checkin Had nice modern touches Bed and room were comfortable Cons: Room not actually cleaned Reported cleanliness and housekeeping still did not vacuum, pick up trash from under beds (left by previous guests), remove previous waste basket bags (with someone’s chewed gum), wipe down surfaces Breakfast not worth the pay No options without dairy Gave vouchers that could not be used Bartenders were not attentive. One forgot I ordered a drink and didn’t check on me for nearly 30 minutes. Food at outside pool area is overpriced and poor quality. Upon checkout, I gave the room a once over to make sure I wasn’t leaving anything. I discovered more trash from previous guest, including a dental floss stick UNDER THE BED I SLEPT IN. disgusting! I booked through Expedia and got a good rate for the weekend after Labor Day. I feel like I got what I paid for, but would have had a better quality experience had a paid a little bit more to stay elsewhere. Fine print states “free area shuttle” in addition to theme park shuttles. Refused to shuttle me a mile down the road to a restaurant. I ubered to the restaurant and walked back. This property has a lot of potential, but it seems their operational and quality standards need to be reviewed. This has potential to be a 5 Star reviewed property, but my experience was barely 2. Mgr waived $12resort fees.
