I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I was really surprised with this hotel after seeing an average 9 for this hotel with 4.5 stars. I will start with the positive- the room was large with a nice view, the AC was strong and there was a very soft large bed. Now for the rest- the hotel feels quite run down and cheap. The flooring in the rooms is a strange plastic material in both the bathroom and bedroom. I found a silver fish on the floor in the bedroom. The shower handle was broken, so it would slowly turn off as if on a timer. The towels were old and hard. The spa could be nice, but they make you purchase and wear a hat. Parking of course costs extra and involves a very unpleasant single car elevator to the basement. The staff is nice, but this hotel feels like a classic tourist trap. Although I paid for the room in advance online, I was charged again at checkin and had to argue and prove with receipts that I already paid. I hope the refund appears quickly. I thought it was going to be a bit more up market bc of the star ratings, but that was quite misleading. Lastly, and this is why I’m leaving one star rather than 2-3, I was diagnosed with scabies after staying here. I’m certain this is where I picked it up and am horrified to think of ever staying there again. So do yourself a favor and do not stay here.
