Very good
Overall a good stay but would not stay again
Overall a great stay! Lovely and friendly staff! Ordered room service a few times and the food was delicious and once again lovely service. One of the downsides was the bed. I believe it was two mattresses together but there was deep gap as they didn’t connect properly. I couldn’t put them together as the whole bed frame moved so spent 5 nights sleeping horizontally on the bed to avoid sleeping uncomfortably. Also if it’s enhanced cleaning due to pandemic, the standard of cleanliness in the room could have been better.

Great hotel, great value, poor restaurant.
South Gap is a really exceptional hotel with an amazing location literally right on the water. The balcony of our second-storey room looked out over the breaking Caribbean waves, and directly beneath us were an excellent deck with sunloungers and an immaculate pool. Too bad we were in quarantine, which meant we couldn't use any of the facilities. However, our room was clean, serene and comfortable, with a huge and blissful King bed. The only minus was the food service. Since we couldn't leave our room we were dependent on the hotel restaurant, which closed at 3.30pm! Food was average, often took ages, and was overpriced: "grilled tomatoes" at US$7 was actually one tomato cut in half. Still, the room itself and the service overall were both excellent, and the front desk staff were courteous, kind and helpful. I'd stay again, but only if we could leave and eat elsewhere.

The staff and everyone working at the hotel were friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end of my stay. The oceanfront atmosphere was especially soothing during Covid times and I felt save and comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was really delicious and you can watch turtles and see the Caribbean clear waters directly from the property at all times. I recommend this property if you seek a combination of an oceanfront stay

This hotel is the most beautiful hotel on st Lawrence gap. It is located in the perfect spot to all restaurants and amenities. every room has the most beautiful oven view. Very modern and sophisticated hotel. There is no beach access but right next door there is beach you can use and public beach is 2 minute walk down the road. Turtle beach 10 minute walk and another beach 10 minutes the other way. The staff front desk girls were so helpful and friendly and always made us feel welcomed. There is an amazing Indian restaurant next door with fantastic food and on the other side harlequin restaurant was really good food elegant and well priced and amazing service at both places. Mexican restaurant down the road was great service and great food as well. Karaoke every night across the road. Lots to do in the area. and easy access on bus to Bridgetown.

Positives- Great contemporary boutique apartment hotel at the western end if St Lawrence Gap. Loads of bars, restaurants, mini mart etc Pool fabulous, views of ocean amazing and at night, the sea is lit up from under the pool deck with spotlights and fire torches, 2x Happy Hours, Nice Bar menu. Scrupulously clean complex and finished to a high standard. Free WiFi, Great Aircon, Great waterfall shower in room, facilities for preparing meals, hotplate, large turbo fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker. (If from UK, these are expensive so dont forget to take - Marmite, Tea bags, Olive pouches, nuts, crispbreads, cereal) Cons - :No direct access to beach but can be accessed from Rostrevor next door. : Karaoke Bar over road should quieten down by 1am but on 2 nights was blasting out at 3am. However, the management at South Gap spoke to Police who had a quiet word and then a bit better. Invest in some decent earplugs!!! A lot of the hotel rooms entrances back onto St Lawrence Gap and the void at the back of the building, acts as a acoustic speaker!! We would stay again, despite the noisy couple of nights. Maybe ask for a room not entered from Gap......
