A good choice
Starting with the not so good. When a guest arrives to check in he doesn't really awant to be standing waiting while the receptionist and a member of staff chat about what is in various cupboards. Train your staff to be attentive. Secondly, while the food was great, as was the service, bread in the menu should be bread, not wee rolls that are served at functions...especially when they're rock hard. Restaurant reviewed as part of hotel stay as I probably wouldn't have found it had I not been staying. Now the good points. Well kept hotel, clean and fresh. Tea and coffee in the room as well as an iron (every hotel should have a room iron as standard). Great setting, right next to the city centre yet quiet street overlooking the River Ness. Just booked my next stay for business.

When we arrived at the hotel reception was beautiful and the man was friendly. The first key card we got did not work but second time it asking we got a new one and worked. Walking into the building was dark not well light. Room was really nice big deep bath, very disappointed with the noise within the place people running up and down stairs slamming of the front door continuously which did not help after a long three and a half hour drive. Parking was not marked very well so parked on the main road.

I’m best pleased with my stay, highly recommend.
Just smooth and comfortable from check-in to check-out. Greatest location; on-site free parking, which is perfect when you’ve been driving for for 6 hours; super friendly and helpful service; warm and comfortable room and most importantly a delicious breakfast.

Make sure you are not above the function suite
Paid extra for a river view room and when we arrived everything seemed fine, the room was in good condition and everything thing seemed clean. When we arrived back from the theatre at 10.15 we found we were directly above the function room, felt like we were in nightclub with no chance of sleeping or even watching tv. Reception closed but an off duty receptionist told us we should have been informed when we arrived and given the option to change rooms. Music stopped at 12 but after 1am before the scraping and banging doors stopped. Complained at check out, was told there was a sign but it was at the other side of reception from where we checked in, no chance of seeing it. Was told to email my complaint which I did but 3 days on and another email, I have not had a reply. This is terrible customer service.
