Carnaval trip with friends
Very good location closer to the Fort of Copacabana and within walking distance to Ipanema. Hotel had a fun lunch event with a samba band on Saturday of carnaval. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious.

Might pass as a 2-Star hotel, but barely
Check in went well but the rest went downhill from that point. Once in the room decided to place valuables in the safe and go out to get something to eat. Safe was not working so on our way back in from eating we stopped by the front desk to report. They tried to fix, we stayed up until 1am giving them time to fix. Did not get fixed. Went to take a shower and found they had only left 1 towel, so again we wait. The safe was supposed to be fixed the next morning, again we wait, when it finally reached 11 am we told them to forget it until later as the day was half over. Did not have the room serviced that day as too many valuables out and no safe. They finally brought an old safe and sat it in the bottom of the closet. Next day the door handle fell off in our hand when we opened the door. One of the employees at the front desk said he would place vouchers so we could have breakfast on the 12th floor the last two days, said they would slide them under the door so we would have the next morning, that never happened. More bad experiences but no time to write more. This is nota 4 Star hotel as claimed. Wall paper is peeling off the walls. Bathroom was moldy and dirty behind the door.

Very disappointing
Waited over 30 minutes in line to check in because there was only one front desk person on duty at 3pm. Customer Service was the worst except for Phillipe who helped us to book our tours helped us book a restaurant for New Years Eve etc. He was the one shinning star in that hotel. The dinning room is too small for the amount of people having breakfast. There were long lines to get into the dinning room. In the end we gave up & stopped going to breakfast even though we had paid for it. The only thing in that hotel that was perfect is it’s location. Overall a very disappointing experience!

Very meh
Overall: just okay. Don’t stay for the hotel itself. It is only a place to sleep and shower. The building is right across from the beach, which is great, and there are restaurants nearby, so the location is good. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff spoke English well. However, there are many things that could be improved. The room was very dark, and the shower overflowed onto the floor immediately. The view was non-existent. The air conditioner’s remote was a “universal” one which didn’t not work—the room was either stuck at 22°, or humid and warm. Breakfast is bland, the buffet is terribly disorganized, and the espresso machine kept breaking. We were told we could get free chairs, towels and parasols in front of the hotel along the beach—they ran out of everything by 10am. For a place to sleep, it was fine, but I would not stay here again.

Hotel was right on Copacobana beach with a rooftop pool and bar that overlooked the ocean. Clean rooms with stocked mini-bar and modern in-room furnishing. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a large variety between cold and hot bar with chef omelet station. Great overall and at the quieter end of the beach while still close to shopping and restaurants.

My family tried to call me on different days and it would take over 20 attempts and 30 minutes for either the opetator or the front desk to answer the phone on any of the days I stayed. I would not stay here again
