    Poor stay, unimpressed

Really not happy with the stay to be honest. Check in was delayed due to Reading Festival being on but surely you’d account for more staff when you’re fully booked all weekend. In addition the lifts didn’t work properly and took you to several wrong floors. The lifts had a mind of their own frankly. This resulted in me walking 10 flights for fear of being trapped inside a tiny lift. The shower was Luke warm at best. It really was a poor stay, especially for the price. It was definitely not good value for money and I would like to make an official complaint and would prefer a partial refund

    Oh. What a day.

Absolutely terrible. First the hotel key card didn’t work. So back down to reception. Given new key. Opened the door. There was a guest already in there. Leaving us both very confused and embarrassed. Back down to reception to tell them of the my discovery. Although that was a major mess up in my eyes, they didn’t seem too apologetic. Finally given a new room. Condition of the room is terrible. Holes in the walls. Stains on carpet floor as soon as you walk in. Lovely. Shower kept flooding even though it was hardly on when in use. Cheap garden furniture weirdly placed in the room. Wasn’t the best stay.

Awful service booked us into a hotel which was ful

I made a booking for Thursday 26/08/2021. I arrived in the evening to be told by the hotel it was fully booked. I showed the reception my confirmation and was still declined saying yourselves shouldn't of took the booking, even though I had paid an had confirmation. I had to book another hotel next door which was twice as expensive. Now I'm going through the process of getting a refund and have been told I didn't turn up to stay and will not receive a refund. Trying to get through to yourselves and getting a robot which doesn't understand a thing. This has been a total nightmare

    Great hotel and staff.

Wonderful stay!! We traveled from Newbury to Reading for our marriage staying two nights. They presented us with a bottle of Prosecco, congratulations card plus fresh strawberries and cream a really great surprise when we got back from the ceremony. We have stayed there before as it is a top notch hotel with a nice pool and great breakfast. Can recommend this hotel to anyone.

    No thank you.

Stay well away from this hotel. The rooms are disgusting and there are dirt marks littered everywhere. There was no mattress protector on the bed and the hair was left in the bath. We changed rooms due to the room above us performing ballet at 1030pm which management refused to do anything about. The new room had the odour of a wet dog.

    Mixed bag but would return

Lovely hotel, great rooms, great breakfast and nice pool, sauna etc. The whole experience was let down though by terrible lifts and on-site parking. On several occasions only one of three lifts were working and in a 13 storey plus basement hotel, it meant a wait in excess of 10 minutes. Using the stairs is an option but not for everyone. Parking is £18 a night if you book, if not then local parking is £6-8 less than 5 minutes walk away.

    Terrible stay

Ridiculous avoid this place! Waste of money! Arrived to tell us they didn’t even have a room even though we had booked and had confirmation! After sitting in reception an hour we got a room 10pm by this point so missed dinner reservations. Breakfast is massively disorganised! Had to clean and set our own table! No mugs or glasses nor cutlery! Everything running out and no one replenishing or clearing tables! Got back to the room and fire alarm went off after 15 mins of that we packed up and left!
