Hotel staff are friendly and cheerful, the breakfast is included and the restaurant menu was delicious and service was excellent. Casa Lucia is an oasis from a long day exploring the many experiences that are Merida and the pool was wonderful to cool off in or read a book beside.

We really enjoyed our stay as the staff couldn’t be nicer, friendlier or more helpful. The best part of this hotel is it’s location. Most all of the major sites and dozens of restaurants are an easy walk away. Breakfast comes with many choices off their menu and were just fine although not great. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We liked the aesthetics, the uncluttered spaciousness of our room, especially the marbled shower with bench and alcove in addition, the friendliness, helpfulness, and responsiveness of the front desk staff, especially Marta and Alejandro, as well as waiters Gustavo and Hector in Soberana, were warm and personal. We only have one criticism. The morning coffee in Soberana was undrinkable. We and several other guests routinely bought takeout coffee next door at Bengala before sitting down to breakfast. We have already reserved seven rooms for next January, 2021, bringing our relatives, who all appreciate excellent coffee.

Amazing flexibility
The location was great directly across from an amazing park filled with restaurants and down the street from the central square. The breakfast included was great and they were flexible with the timing as late as 11:30am. I really appreciated the reception staff helping with transportation as needed. There was a moment of no water in the bathroom and wifi out, but after a call to the desk, it was immediately fixed. I would definitely stay there again.
