The outside of the hotel doesn't look great, and it's a little dated around the hotel (although it's dirty of damaged at all, just a little worn). But the room was fantastic. You could tell they've been renovated fairly recently as they are much more modern. I got the king bed studio. The bed was very comfy, it had a small dining table and 2 chairs, and an extra 2 leather chairs to sit around it. The bed was extremely comfy and the TV was very big with all the cable channels needed. Bathroom was small and cramped but not uncomfortable. The kitchen part was really small but had all you needed to cook apart from an oven tray. Fridge-freezer was a really big size too. The room was also extremely clean. Two small complaints though, both of which may change was covid is over. The check in and out times are not great. 10am check out and 5pm check in (although my room was ready so I was allowed to check in at midday, which was great). I've stayed at a few hotels during covid and none had times like that. Secondly is that the front door is always locked. You can open it with a key, but if you don't have ibe, you have to physically knock on the door or go around the back through the parking lot. It was OK when I checked in, but I came back in the afternoon and there was no one at the desk to let me in. I tried to find someone out back and found a guy cleaning near the lot. That's when I found the aforementioned back entrance which was unlocked. Bit annoying.

It’s very cozy and clean, large rooms with kitchenette. Perfect location to all amenities and close to the Parliament and Victoria harbour and just across from beautiful Beacon Park!

    Minor,but, annoying.

Shower curtain was missing 3 hooks, so had a bath. Couldn't find the coffee filters.

The suite was huge and beautifully renovated. The cable didn't work but I didn't want to watch TV.. Wifi was great & so was kitchenette. I had everything I needed at a great price.

It was a great suite, however it was not what I booked. I booked a king suite and got two double beds! Besides that it was fabulous

    Not impressed

Parking limited and very tight. Got my door dinged. Wasn’t told about pay parking. Sheets had stains and floor dirty. Wasn’t given receipt, had to insist. And told after booking that couldn’t checkin until after 5 and checkout was shortened to 10.

    Good and Bad

The inn is older and very reasonably priced so I did not expect it to be Four Seasons quality. I also don’t mind that it isn’t perfect or might need a coat of paint, however, the cleanliness of our suite was disappointing. Sure the floor was vacuumed and the large surfaces dusted but I’m sure the base boards haven’t been wiped in weeks or longer. There was a cobweb under the bathroom sink, a hand print on the living room mirror, a stain on the duvet, dirt in the crevices on the top of the kitchen refrigerator door, etc. I’m not that picky and I don’t want to kick any hospitality business when it’s down because of COVID-19 and might only have a skeleton staff but the owner and/or management need to help out the housekeeping staff! Come on!! On a good note...customer service was pleasant, the location is good and it’s a quaint place
