What a Great Place to stay when visiting Sequoia National Park . Logs is in the Park so very little driving to hit all the Great trails and sites . Food is good for where you are and location and background are wonderful. They have a trial head right at the back of the lodge that makes for great and sometimes testy trail if take all the way to Lodgepole and back . We will return next spring .

We absolutely loved our stay here at the Lodge! Yes you have to carry your luggage up some stairs, but we had a wonderful time. Friday night we ate dinner at the restaurant, and Sat we grabbed some pizza and beers after a day of hiking. Staff was very helful and also let us check in early. We will definitely be back since we missed crystal cave.

Staff were wonderful. Room was spacious. Not many in-room amenities—just soap, shampoo & lotion. If the valet wants to help with your luggage & give you a lift to your lodge, say YES! Life-saver for us not used to the altitude. Restaurant on-site is very good. Bartender Donny was very nice.

Worth every penny for the location alone! Staying inside Sequoia was one of the highlights of our 12 day trip. Walking outside at night and seeing a sky full of stars was amazing. Being so close to the General Sherman tree made it easy for us to see it before the crowds got up the mountain. Climbing to the 3rd floor at 7200’ was a challenge (lol) but overall just amazing. Make dinner reservations early - with nowhere else to eat, you’ll want to make sure you can get some dinner at the lodge unless you want to drive quite far for food in a “nearby” town (in quotes bc they’re not nearby at all!) and then drive back up the mountain to the lodge. 100% recommend this lodge and will return in the future!
