Not a 5-star experience – very disappointing stay
I chose Akra Kemer because of its high rating, but unfortunately my experience did not match my expectations of a five-star hotel.
The biggest positive point was the staff. The reception team, restaurant staff, and especially the coffee shop team were very friendly, polite, and always tried their best to provide good service. The coffee shop was actually one of the few highlights of the hotel.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs serious renovation. At check-in, I was told my room had been upgraded, but the room was very dark, the terrace faced a wall with no view, and the overall condition was disappointing. The bathroom was old, towels were extremely worn out (some even torn), and the bed linen had holes. These details are not acceptable for a five-star property.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, this hotel is not a good choice. The noise level is extremely high. Loud music continues from morning until midnight, and even after that it takes a long time for the hotel to become quiet. Early morning noise starts again. With many families and children, plus constant corridor noise and doors closing loudly, it is very difficult to rest.
The food quality was another disappointment. Although the restaurant staff were excellent, the food itself was far below five-star standards. The buffet had variety, but the quality was not impressive.
The pool area was also overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy a relaxing day.
