The hotel room is nice, cosy and modern. Bed was a little firm for my taste, but maybe that’s just me. Pool area was nice with comfortable sun loungers (though very tightly packed in).
My issue comes mainly with the food. The hotel on a half board basis was advertised as breakfast and dinner buffet. When we got there we discovered that the dinner buffet is just salad and cheese, and everything else is off the menu. And while the food on the menu was beautifully presented and mostly very tasty, I have very specific dietary so a buffet would have been much better and I feel I was mis-sold. In addition to this, every single time I ordered something from the menu for dinner, a completely different iteration of it came out. The wait staff seemed to be heavily laboured by some new iPad system that is drawing so much of their attention that the basics just fell apart. We often had meals brought to us before plates have been cleared, we’d only get one of the drinks, the staff were expected to balance a tray of drinks and a tray of bread all at once just for the theatre of giving you an ice cube, which didn’t really add to the premium feel of the dining experience, it just made the staff look overworked and thinly spread.
The breakfast buffet was quite nice, but there seems to be a serious issue with the ability to cook eggs! I wouldn’t stay here again tbh
