      GO TO THE MOTEL 6!!!

There was dog hair in the bed, the shower didn’t spray nicely, the tv was tiny, we didn’t even have the option of renting a movie-only basic cable, no bottled water, no air conditioning, the advertisement showed robes, slippers, a pool and a hot tub, but there weren’t any of those things.

Great boutique hotel. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I loved the peublo rooms. Super comfortable and spacious. Very quiet and conveniently located. Everything we wanted to see or do was in walking distance of the hotel complex.

      Rustic Style-Half a Breakfast

The vibe is definitely rustic southwest. The rooms are spread out over a one block area in several small buildings. The southwest feel is real. But the blinds need to stay closed for privacy because people are walking right in front of your room. The fireplace was small and underwhelming. The people were sweet and accommodating. About the breakfast. It is insulting to give people a half of a bagel or croissant and provide one pastry for two people to share. Overall if you love a throwback experience and can settle for half a continental breakfast, then you might like this place. If the staff wasn’t so nice I would have given it a lower rating

      Cozy Casita

Our casita was cozy. But there was an open gap around the front door which needed to be weather stripped. Breakfasts were generous and tasty, delivered to us each morning. The location was great.

      A good and interesting stay

Every room is different and spread out across a street. The wood fireplace is an extra touch if it's nippy, and one fire's worth of wood is provided free, although why charge an $11 resort fee. For parking restricted Santa Fe, the free parking was worthwhile and the hotel is within walking distance of the Plaza, the Okeeffe Museum, and the shops and restaurants around the Plaza.

Las Palomas? I felt like the Pigeon

My toughest review ever. Really excited when I booked for our anniversary. It looked perfect. Upon arrival found the first room assigned looked NOTHING like the advertised pictures on hotels.com. “Superior” room was small, not well lit, and smelled of woodsmoke. Second room we requested had a terrible TV remote situation where it wouldn’t pair with remote, an unplugged lamp with a cord too short to connect to any wall outlet, and no light bulb! Track lights also lacked light bulbs. Patio was a joke. Who is maintaining this dump? We paid well over $200 per night for one of the worst maintained rooms I have ever stayed in domestically or international. The room looked NOTHING like the photos online. Be warned. Management was non existent after I left comments on hotels.com. And yet, it is Santa Fe. The neighborhood is great. The breakfasts delivered were great. And it is a funky old place. Will I go back? Not likely. Too many wildcards and no pride of ownership. Better places available.

Eclectic hotel within walking distance of Old Town. Beautiful court yard. Small fireplace in room. Delicious breakfasts hung on our door every morning because of the pandemic.

Disappointing stay—unit was old and poorly set up

The location is very good, close to the plaza with lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The bagged breakfast was good, with a different hot sandwich, yogurt with fruit and boiled eggs every day. We arrived early on check-in day and were given a unit right away. We enjoyed the availability of hot drinks in the lobby. Now for the bad. The pictures on the website were in no way reflective of the unit we were given. I expected something much newer and more comfortable. The unit was like a rustic cabin. The furniture appeared to be old and in bad shape. While clean, we did find one roach. The kitchen area was so minimally equipped that actually trying to prepare a hot meal there would have been do able, but frustrating. We had only two sharp knives, one huge and the other a more standard size, but a serrated knife would have been helpful. We had to ask for dish soap, and had no drying towels or drying rack. The unit had walls made of paper and we could hear noise from the units on each side. Fortunately, those other guests didn’t stay up too late, so the noise didn’t disturb our rest. Several windows in the unit were not locked when we checked in, and one window was impossible to lock, so we had to use our walking sticks to block it and keep it secure. Bear in mind, I booked a Deluxe Studio! I was definitely expecting something better and nicer than we were given. I will not stay here again.
