Dates and tired but great location and staff
Amazing and friendly staff and great breakfast too. Plus discount in the bar too. A few negatives though - rooms not in great condition and was surprised at no en-suite. My fault as didn’t read description fully. But as a hotel it hadn’t entered my head that it wouldn’t be. Plus the condition of the bathrooms was poor. Main bar full when I went for drinks as it was a busy night, so went to hotel bar which is separate and told they couldn’t serve me there. It was staffed and I had my hotel key. So was a bit miffed as a hotel guest I couldn’t use the hotel bar! Lovely staff though and super friendly so it went a long way to making up for the negatives. Would probably stay again if in Manchester overnight.

The first room we had room 18 had no where to hang ur clothes the curtains was see through and had paint on them. The shower was the worst u couldnt contfol the temperature so was always cold and the shower was on a 30 second timer so would go off. Got moved to riom 15 and that wasnt much better. They took our towels one day and didnt replace them so we had none at all. The hotel is uneven so u feel uneven. The staff was very helpful and helped had best they could

Great little hotel, fab location
The staff were brilliant and the restaurant/bar area was lovely. The food was delicious. We had a room that slept 4 people in a double bed and 2 single beds. I appreciate this room might not get used very much but the standard could’ve been better. The bathroom window had no privacy which led to us making our own blind out of a blanket so the builders opposite couldn’t see through. The TV turned on but that was it, there was no service. There was also dried toilet roll on the ceiling and liquid splashed up the door and walls. I would stay here again but would request a better room next time. The location was absolutely spot on! It’s right opposite the cathedral and next to the Arndale centre. It sits practically at the bottom of the Chester road so has great access to pubs snd restaurants. The tram stops a minute away with quick links to the Trafford area

Could be better
There was confusion regarding the booking but the receptionist wasn’t helpful nor sympathetic. However, one member of staff stepped in who was much more accommodating and the issue was resolved. The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable. However, the hot water didn’t work in the shower and there was a sanitary product (although unused) in the bathroom.
