usual bathroom & noisey
The rooms are very small. I have never seen a toilet in a shower cubical before. Also you don't get much sleep as the temple down the road starts at 7.30am this would probably be ok if the double glazing was fitted better & the door closed properly on the balcony.

Cute, convenient and good value.
Cute. Classic but with modern utilities. . Right at the heart of SGP. expected smaller room but the location compensated for the slight inconvenience. However, the breakfast can be improved. As I went there at 09:30; most of the hot items were gone and will not be refilled.

No more next time
I wouldn't stay here ever again. For the price and the quality of the room, it's definitely not compatible. The room is SUPER small, we literally opened the door and walked into the bed. There is absolutely no space to put/open your luggage. The washroom is all in one, it's impossible to keep the space dry after a shower. We only stayed one night. The morning before we left, there was no hot water supply to the shower, we informed the reception whilst checking out, no acknowledgment nor apology.

One to miss
The room was dated and walls dirty. I was at this hotel a number of years ago, as it was such a good hotel, but it has now changed hands to QLoft. Since the change over it has deteriorated. A major refurb is required. The breakfast used to be served in the ground floor restaurant, but has been moved to a second floor patio area, with no character. Due to outside bars, it was very noisy and don’t Expect to get some sleep till after 1am I would not visit again.

Hotel is small and the rooms as well. If you are on a budget this is the right place for you. Breakfast was good. Rooms are clean. Hotel is right in Chinatown. Staff are friendly.

Good stay
This is one of my go-to hotels. Its in a great area, convenient for work and MRT with some of the best restaurants and bars in the city close by. Recently its changed ownership (the 3rd time in as many years) but the service is overall better than it was before. This is a historical converted shop house so its important to consider that its going to be a bit quirky. Almost all of the rooms are small 10-15sqm, they will be tight for two people, especially with large luggage. Rooms on the 4th floor do not have windows as they are in the lost roof space. The rooms have storage for folding clothes under the bed but they could use more hanging space and hangers. Our room had one hanging rack on the back of the door with just 3 hangers. There is no place to hang towels. This is the biggest fault of the hotel, especially for 2 people as in a small room you want to unpack your bag so you don't have to constantly try to access your suitcase. The other problem is the water heater. Its a small tank located in the roof above the washroom. If you're two people showering, you have to be smart or you will run out after one shower. The good news is the water heats fast, give it about 30mns between showers if you run out. The internet uses the annoying front-end gate system that forces a pop-up where you enter your pass-code. These system are known to be large unsecured. My computer blocks them so I had to hotspot from my mobile. Otherwise it was a good stay.
