The focus on this "Hygge House" is cozy comfort and cleanliness. There are two generous bedrooms and two bathrooms (showers, no tub). Comfortable living/dining space for relaxing and dining. Fresh paint and carpet (May '21) throughout the home. The kitchen is equipped for for cooking, you just need to bring the groceries. Comfortable Nectar mattresses and quality bed linens. Amenities include dishwasher, washer/dryer, double garage with opener, sliding doors to back deck, and a quiet, family neighborhood. Close to both hospitals, downtown and Briar Cliff University. Walking distance to Congregation Beth Shalom and the Sioux City Country Club. Great location for Saturday in the Park!

Homey Hygge House
This rental is a true gem! We walked into the super-clean home, and were greeted with fresh cookies inside, and happy birds outside. The home is airy, spacious, and comfy. The linens and beds are cozy, and the fireplace took the chill off of the cool evenings. Looking forward to staying in Hygge House again, whenever we return to Sioux City!

A place you can call home
For over three weeks, staying at Kathie's place felt like home. The house is very comfortable with everything you need. The beds are especially comfortable. The neighborhood is very calm and lovely with many trees. Kathie was very attentive to every detail to make the stay perfect of us and our children (a baby girl and a 2 years-old boy). Everything was perfect and we will definitely come back for our next stay in Sioux City!

Perfect home away from home
This home was thought out carefully by Kathy. The decor is comfy, clean and the home smelled like baked good the entire week! Not to mention that she actually baked cookies for our arrival! Very yummy! The home has everything you could need and more. As a parent traveling for the first time with a one year old, it was so nice to see that there was baby detergent, a high chair, a baby gate and a crib! The cooking utensils were sharp and pans were in great condition. Kathy is a great host! She’s quick with communications and super friendly. It’s also nice knowing that she lives nearby, should I need help with anything. If you’re looking for a clean, comfy home in a nice quiet neighborhood, I highly recommend this place.

Relaxing, Restful, & Enjoyable Fall Weekend
This home was perfect for our needs. We came to spend the weekend with a very close friend who attends Western Iowa Tech Community College. She was able to stay with us at the house, which is why I chose to rent a home over a hotel. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking. The deck was relaxing to soak up the crisp fall weather. We loved the neighborhood. It was very easy to get around town wherever we wanted to go. Sioux City is a very nice town. The host was very responsive if I had a question. The house was very clean. If the occasion arises again, I would definitely rent this home again.

Perfect home in a perfect location
Kathie (owner) was a perfect hostess. It was obvious someone spent time making sure the home had everything you could ask for, from the extra linens to the umbrella (was perfect for the heat at the outdoor wedding we attended). We were the envy of the party as other family members rented single hotel rooms for more than we paid for an entire home. We would definitely stay here again.

Kathie was wonderful! Her place was clean and comfortable. She offered suggestions for shopping and restaurants. Just overall - a great experience for us!! Skip the hotel - this is where you need to stay!
