A Maltese gem.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A perfect location with stunning views of the bay from the rooftop terrace. Facilities are excellent and my only regret is that i did not make more use of them. The parking...well not for the faint hearted. I used it twice just for the hell of it...its underground!!

A disappointing stay this time….
We arrived slightly early and was greeted by a receptionist who was not welcoming at all and said check in is af 1500 and to come back at 1500. Did not even say hello or ask us our name. At 1500 as expected, the queue for check in was huge! I have never been to a hotel ever (and I travel a lot) where they do not ask you your name and check if room is ready. I work as front office in a 5* hotel myself, so was surprised by this. We decided to go for a suite this time, but to be honest it was not worth the extra money. Not really any different to a normal room. Had a sofa bed but we didn’t need this. We sat by the adult pool during the day and was surprised to see children there. This was one reason we choose this hotel so could relax without children screaming and crying! The choice of breakfast was as good as always. Considering we choose a quiet time, we had to source our own cutlery as hardly any tables laid up. To be honest overall I was disappointed with our stay this time.

Underwhelmed!
The hotel gave the impression of grandure but when we got to our room (when we eventually found it!) What a disappointment! It was outdated, within 10 minutes of our arrival a maintenance man just strolled in (without knocking) and said he needed to fix the bath. (We were not told there was an issue and he did not know we had checked in. (Its a good job we were not getting undressed!) The toilet seat was not secure, the extractor did not work in the bathroom and when we showered it flooded the entire floor of the bathroom. It was also very noisy as it is on a main road. No bars within the hotel were open either and we were desperate for a drink! There was paint on the light switches and the slot for the room card key did not work either. Mini bar is empty (you have to request room service,) and the powered milk for the tea was solid. How disappointing!
