About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire apartment to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

FRONTDESK Press House Apts Cultural District Pittsburgh

Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our communities. We are monitoring the situation very closely, and we would like to share the additional precautions that have been recently added. All amenities at this property have been closed. We have increased our cleaning standards, specifically as it relates to cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. This is all very necessary for the safety of guests, and we must do our part to keep this community safe.

The Space:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for parties or gatherings. We use a noise sensor to detect the noise level inside the suite, a people counter which counts the number of people nearby, in addition to numerous neighbors who are understandably more sensitive during this time. The guest amount on your reservation must match the number of guests that will be inside the suite at any given time. We do utilize our local law enforcement if you cannot abide by these rules and you will be asked to vacate at your own expense.

Our one-bedroom apartment with a queen bed, couch, and an air mattress has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Pittsburgh! The kitchen is stocked with cookware to cook simple meals, full-sized appliances, and a Keurig to enjoy coffee. There's a smart TV with Roku and Netflix (there is no cable) & free WiFi! A washer and dryer are available in the unit for your convenience.

Guest Access:
You can access the building anytime after 3pm by using the lockbox to obtain the keys. We ask that you respect our home and the quiet hours of the community. Our home is not baby proofed, and may not be ideal for families with very small children; however, children are welcome at your own discretion.

Interaction with Guests:
Most of our guests prefer to let themselves in with our lockbox entry system; however, we can be available upon request and are always available via phone call or text message should any questions or issues arise.

The Neighborhood:
Our suite is located within Downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District, home to the dynamic art and entertainment scene. The 14-square block district encompasses over 90 retail shops, 50 dining establishments, seven world-class theaters, eight public parks and art installations and a dozen art galleries. You'll always find something fun to do or see in the awesome Cultural District. We're just a short 13 minute walk from Point State Park or a 9 minute walk to Market Square, home to giant chess, ping pong, and many other fairs.

Getting Around:
Given the popular location, walking or biking is very popular. There's a Healthy Ride station, Pittsburgh's popular bike-sharing service, just outside of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center which is a 2 minute walk to the east. Bus transportation provided by the Port Authority of Allegheny County is also available across the street.

Other Things to Note:
Please ensure you are booking with your full legal name. We have a strict 11am checkout. If you'd like to pay to check out later, the latest we can do is 1pm, at $25 per hour. Please let us know one day in advance if this is something you'd like to schedule!

House Rules:
Absolutely no parties or events. We use a noise monitoring device that detects noise levels inside the suite. We have a zero-tolerance policy and you will be asked to leave if any noise level beyond a normal conversation is detected. Th

I live in the Pittsburgh suburbs and wanted to have a staycation in the actual city of Pittsburgh without driving or needing to pay for parking. This location was walkable to all of downtown and the Strip District.

4/10 Fair

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. The #1 reason I booked here instead of a hotel was because the listing stated there was onsite parking. I found out less than 24 hrs before check-in that this was an error in the listing and I’d have to pay for garage parking. There was no offer to validate parking either. Pros: The apartment itself is safe, cute, and in a great location to walk to events Cons: There is not one comfortable thing about this place. The ‘couch’ could seat one person… barely. The ‘bed’ is a very hard mattress on a metal futon frame. When I woke my husband at 6am because I was so uncomfortable, he and I quote stated “is our prison sentence over yet?” Ive also had bigger, thicker pillows on an airplane. Since I couldn’t move to the couch or stay in bed I considered the floor but it’s concrete. So we got up to check out. The lights are so bright in this place they peel your eyelids back, and they are worried about noise pollution but have a jet engine for a bathroom fan?! Also, odd thing… there’s no bar, rack, or shelf to put your toiletries in the shower. Weird. The place is new so most things were either new or very clean still, but the floor could have used a better sweeping… I have a problem with random curly black hairs all over the bathroom from the person before me, as well as the amount of hair I could see in the sink drain while brushing my teeth. It had promise, but the sheer uncomfortableness is a deal breaker for ever returning.

8/10 Very good

Cool experience with a few disappointments.
Nice alternative to a hotel. Place appeared brand new…maybe not even entirely finished. A nice “city living” feel. Good customer service. If they keep it in the price range we paid it is probably the way to go. Very convenient to everything downtown. We walked to the Pitt game. Coffee maker and pods provided, but no creamer. We were disappointed that the dryer didn’t work. It had an error code that we looked up online so it wasn’t user error. Unit looked very new, but it didn’t work. The bed is very loud. Didn’t seem well made and squeaked loudly with every move. Honestly could be a deal breaker for a return. They need better beds. Also, no tv in bedroom so you can’t wind down the night watching TV in bed unless you use your phone. They have free wi-fi. You have to pay to park. We spent $20 for one night in the nearby city garage. You might have that just about everywhere. Has a lot of potential to be a great place to stay but there are definitely a few drawbacks to think about.
